A fine example of a English coromandel wood writing slope/box made by Betjemann & Sons, London for retailer Ellerbeck 68 Bold Street, Liverpool. The exterior contains brass strap work with the fitted interior contains two ink bottles and inset felt writing surface. Circa 1880.
